IFFC COMMITTEE MEMBERS 09/10

SUPERVISING COMMITTEE (SuperCom):

GARETH HOAR (General Secretary)

After a throughly thought from Robert/ExCo and departed General Secretary Jason Muhl it was decided to ask Gareth Hoar for the new IFFC SuperCom General Secretary. Gareth been since 2002 with a 2 year break in the IFFC, demonstrates good leadership and takes on responsibility and is actually now injured and he can earliest play another game next year. Gareth spent a good time last year in the SuperCom and as B-member of the DisCom and was a big help. He accepted his new position and is glad despite not able playing the game to be involved in the IFFC. Any suggestions are welcomed by Gareth.

RICHARD LAMB (Vice General Secretary and DisCom B member)

Richard took over the big job from his predecessor Enda and took time and energy to come to almost all meetings when he was needed. He will serve in the SuperCom and will help out in case the DisCom A-members are not fully present.

JOCHEN TENHAGEN (SuperCom and DisCom B member)

Jochen spend a lot of time and energy in the last 2 years in the DisCom and was one of the very big help alongside Jason Muhl in developing the current IFFC system. He was one of the most relyable members of the DisCom and due to work switches over to the SuperCom, but still will serve a DisCom B member when needed.

RICHARD COLLETT (SuperCom member)

Richard brought forward many ideas for a better understanding between the referees and the teams and created some good guidelines for the referees to upgrade the refereeing level. Richard is a reliable SuperCom member.

PHILIPPE HEALEY (SuperCom member)

New in the SuperCom with the firm wish to give his best and upheld the IFFC good character and fair play spirit.

PETER VIIG (SuperCom member)

Could not make it all the time, but will try his best with energy and time to come out and help out.

VICTOR STEFANOVICH (SuperCom member)

Could not make it all the time, but will try his best with energy and time to come out and help out.

JOSH TUNON (SuperCom member)

ERIC SPENCER (SuperCom member)

Eric is new here and wants to help and work creatively to make better rules.

DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE (DisCom A members)

CARLO FERRARA (DisCom General Secretary)

Carlo has two year's of experience in the difficult DisCom and had spend a lot of time and energy into his post. He ensures his best to give each case the fairest treatment he can give and is very careful before concluding a final decision. He is one of the most reliable committee members and is open to any suggestions.

GREGORY DESBUQUOIS (DisCom member)

Greg was close working in the French team with former DisCom member Thomas Marechal who passed away almost a year ago. He took over Thomas' position and spend a lot of time and energy in the DisCom meetings and e-mails exchange. Also Greg is careful with his decisions and open to any suggestions from the IFFC members.

TOM CATTANACH (DisCom member)

Tom (or just 'TC' – his nickname) is a long time IFFC member and involved in the management with the teams he took part. Eagles Korea ?

Beijing Lawyers FC

Toyota FC

Wangjing FC

Scorpions ?

Dulwich College

Western Academy

(there are also others who voiced interest of joining and there some teams who discuss to make further teams: like Barbarians C or Sexy FC B)

5) HOW MANY LEAGUES / HOW MANY TEAMS:

Last 08/09 Season had two leagues with 12 teams each (total 24 teams). Now all 24 teams must confirm their participation for the 09/10 Season and all new teams wishing to join must have paid their deposit by Monday August 24th. Then a final number of participating teams for the 09/10 Season can be determined and each league with the amount of teams to be determined. In case there are leagues with just 8 teams (minimum), then next to the normal league schedule (each team plays each other twice) there will be an additional comprehensive play off / play down schedule to decide the championship, the teams who qualify for the upper devision and the teams who relegate to the lower division. The Premiere League should stay with 12 teams with the announcement that at the end of the season 4 teams might relegate. Here are some options of how to decide:

a. 36 teams participate (highly unlikely): 12 teams each in 3 Divisions

b. 32 teams participate (quite unlikely): 12 Premiere, 10 First & 10 Second Division teams

c. 30 teams participate: (maybe) 12 Premiere teams, 9 First and 9 Second Division teams

d. 28 teams participate: (quite possible) 12 Premiere, 8 First and 8 Second Division teams

6) IFFC COMMITTEES PARTICIPATION IS MORE THAN WELCOMED:

The Supervising Committee [SuperCom] (in charge for rules & regulations and naming the members of the IFFC Disciplinary Committee [DisCom] ) is to be reshuffled after the departure of it's General Secretary Jason Muhl. So far the members are: Gareth Hoar, Richard Lamb, Richard Collett, Peter Viig, Victor Stefanovich while Eric Spencer will join up (SuperCom) and Carlo Ferrara, Jochen Tenhagen and Gregory Desbuquois were working in the DisCom. Hopefully all the current members will be available for the 09/10 Season (needs to be confirmed), but we are still looking for interested & responsible IFFC members who wish to make a constructive input. Any interested & motivated IFFC member is more then welcomed to join us. Please write asap (latest before August 24th) to ' This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ' with the Subject 'regarding the IFFC Committee'.

OK. That is all for now. All last 08/09 Season teams, please contact me and confirm your participation of the 09/10 Season.

Greetings to all of you.

Robert Gonnella / IFFC ExCo Chairman

09/10 Pre-Season News No.1
Wednesday, 05 August 2009
Dear IFFC members,

I am sorry for not getting back to some of you earlier and about so far publishing no news for the upcoming 09/10 Season. I just arrived back in Beijing from Europe where I had to deal with the passing away of a close family member (personal and organizational wise).
Now I am just back and I am moving apartment and office. The 'IFFC Office' gets a new telephone number and posting address, so far the number 6234 7106 remains and the new number and address I will publish as soon and ready next week hopefully. Next week (after August 10th) I will publish the news on the website and will contact each team (also there are 5 to 6 new teams ready/interested to join) seperatly by e-mail (also all SuperCom and DisCom committee members).  Of course the website & E-mail address (es) stay the same.
As I mentioned we have new teams (six I am in previous contact). In case we will have around 30 teams  we will have something like probl. 12 Premiere, 8 First and 8 Second Div. teams (the team numbers must fit to any solution.)
So maybe we play the first cup round on the 29/30th August weekend (as option) and then the second round on the Sept. 5th/6th weekend. In case a team is not ready on the last August weekend (can not play that time), then maybe the team shall play the first cup round on Saturdays (September 5th) and the second cup round (if won) on Sundays (Sept. 6th.). Please in the meantime let me know what your team prefers (as usual to: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Also the new teams (or any interested teams of might joining) are asked to write me and let me know, so it let me prepare the scheduling and get back with more precise news next week.
Please stay tuned and be understanding for this late news.

Sincerely,

Robert Gonnella/IFFC ExCo Chairman
