DISCOM CASE: GAME 15: Forbidden City FC vs. Azzurri FC A

According to the sources
In the 82nd minute after a foul Forbidden City FC's player 30 and Azzurri FC A player 23 get into a physical brawl with pushing with their heads. The referee gave both players correctly a red card. When both players had to leave the pitch, Azzurri FC's 23 spat on Forbidden City FC's 30. Both teams who played fairly the who le game held their respective man back for a moment so no fight would happen. Then after this short moment the match continued.

Therefore applying  IFFC Disciplinary Guidelines:

IFFC Disciplinary Guidelines: Fighting/Hitting/Spitting
Any player found guilty of fighting, including hitting and spitting, will be suspended for a minimum of three matches and fined RMB 500.

DisCom rules that:

F.City Player n.30 Barry is banned for 1 match.
Azzuri Player n.23 Christian is banned for 3 match and has to pay a fine of 500rmb.

DisCom decision of case 1: Sexy FC – Red Cards


CASE 1

 

 

According to the sources (IFFC's official report, referee report, DisCom member watching the game and the two team reports), in the 89th minute Sexy FC player No.0 Dima Ter received his second yellow card and then purposely made contact using his shoulder with the referee Zhang Rui. Mr. Ter was shown a straight red card for his action.

The Sexy FC team mates calmed down the situation and apologized to the referee. Mr. Ter later apologised to the referee.
DisCom:

There is clear section on our Disciplinary Guideline on Assaults on Officials that states:

  • The Disciplinary Sub Committee will handle any cases of assault on IFFC Officials, and the following guidelines will apply.

  • Any player or team official found guilty of any form of intimidation including oral, written or other non-physical abuse of any League or match official at any time will be subject to a suspension of two matches and a fine of a minimum of RMB500.

  • Any player or team official found guilty of physical abuse of any League or match official will be subject to a suspension of between three years to life and/or a fine of a minimum of RMB 1,000.

The DisCom does not consider this case of physical abuse to be judged according to the physical abuse ruling; however the non-physical abuse ruling will be forwarded.

The DisCom have considered Mr. Ter as a new member of the IFFC and that Sexy FC Management have issued a warning to their players regarding future conduct.

The DisCom have ruled a 3 match ban plus 610RMB fine, broken down as follows:

Non-physical abuse towards match official – 2 game ban + 500rmb fine

1 Yellow Card + 1 Red card – 1 Match ban + 110rmb fine

As the first disciplinary case of the 09/10 season, the IFFC DisCom remind all teams and players that abuse of match or league officials will not be tolerated. Suspensions and monetary fines will be issued in order to maintain a safe, friendly playing environment for everyone involved.

DisCom decision of case 2: French LE – Ole Football

After the initial decision about the incident, the DisCom has re-assessed the situation and made the following final ruling:

The DisCom has decided:

1. David B. (Ole Football) is banned for 6 matches and fined 500RMB for violent misconduct. The DisCom has assessed his violent involvement as reactive to the French LE player's and he shall get half the penalty as originally given.

2. Giovanni D. (French LE) as the main perpotrator is confirmed banned for all matches of the first half of the 09/10 season (all 2009 matches) and is fined 500RMB for violent misconduct. This is consistent with the IFFC rules (section Fighting/Hitting/Spitting) and prior IFFC Disciplinary decisions for such behavior.

CASE 2
French LE A vs. Ole Football, just after the final whistle (90.)
According to the sources (Various reports confirmed that during the game French LE player No.20 Giovanni D. and Ole Football player No. 5 David B. had very tense encounters and after the final whistle David (Ole FC) said something to Giovanni, which made Giovanni attack David and threw punches at David. David retaliated and punched back. Both teams and the referee went in between to stop them. Both players were shown red cards.

The DisCom decides following:

1. Both players are banned for all matches of the first half of the 09/10 season (all 2009 matches) and are fined 500RMB each for violent misconduct. This is consistent with the IFFC rules (section Fighting/Hitting/Spitting) and prior IFFC Disciplinary decisions for such behavior.

2. According to the sources, both teams played in a fair spirit and each side tried to calm down the situation so no further disciplinary action will be sanctioned towards either French LE or OLE FC management.

CARLO FERRARA (DisCom General Secretary)

Carlo has two year's of experience in the difficult DisCom and had spend a lot of time and energy into his post. He ensures his best to give each case the fairest treatment he can give and is very careful before concluding a final decision. He is one of the most reliable committee members and is open to any suggestions.

GREGORY DESBUQUOIS (DisCom member)

Greg was close working in the French team with former DisCom member Thomas Marechal who passed away almost a year ago. He took over Thomas' position and spend a lot of time and energy in the DisCom meetings and e-mails exchange. Also Greg is careful with his decisions and open to any suggestions from the IFFC members.

TOM CATTANACH (DisCom member)

Tom (or just 'TC' – his nickname) is a long time IFFC member and involved in the management with the teams he took part. TC wrote previously even match reports and was always a big help whenever needed. Asked for the position in the IFFC he directly responded positive and is willing to give his best.
